Statement

The collage work presented here was created from the remnants of a monotype series I started in 2014. The challenge was to find a resolve in hundreds of random, remnant shapes. Storytelling has been an important part of my work and I found “my stories” when random, remnant pieces started making their way into images of architecture. More precisely, images of houses. Very different houses. I find it interesting that in dreams “house” is symbolic of the Self.
